A dream.
I woke up up and find myself inside the bus which is docking inside Tampinese Interchange. There was an announcement before all the passenger alight, announcing about some spaceshuttle mission which failed in Nevada. Passengers inside started to whisper among themselves.As i alighted the bus, the sky was "doomed" dark and grey, cold wind blowing strongly from the east. The interchange was packed with people and trolley bags. In front of me on the other side of the interchange, i saw a very long and huge vehicle. Long like a MRT and huge and solid like those spaceships in StarShip Trooper. As the door opens at the side, people started to rushed themselves in with their bags. It was one hell of a chaotic scene. Small children trying their best to enter among the crowd. Mother with baby in their arm. Some gaveup and leave their bags behind before they can finally enter the vehicle. As the siren sounded[i think its the same when the MRT want to close its door.the teeett teett teeett teeett teettt sound], and announcement was made. "Next Ship To Safe Zone Will Depart At 2300HRS". I look at my watch.it was at 0100HRS!! I started to wonder why. Where are they going? till they need 22 hours to travel and come back??
I decided not to think much about it. Its already 1am in the morning. I was more afraid of my mum being mad that i went home late.
As the interchange was full with people, i decided to take a taxi home. I decided to go near the NTUC Income Building, just along the road to try my luck to get a taxi. A friend came[soccer friend during my Primary School days.forget his name]. We talked and do a little catchup. He says his goodbyes as he walked home. Amazingly he stays at Pasir Ris!? Hahaha. I was laughing of course, i just stand there and wonder how long will it take him to reach home, seeing that the journey home is int that clear with Thick Mist and endless cold wind blowing.
As i flag taxi, not even one of them wants to go to Pasir Ris. They stopped for a while, open their door window and shake their heads.Drove off rudely. I started to curse them.
"BANG!!!"
I heard a loud bang from the open field just on my right. The same field i always enjoyed looking people flying their kites when the MRT passed by it. As i looked up in the skies above, i started to realise what is happening. Above me fires of comets are slowly heading to EARTH. A shower of comets covering the dark grey skies just above me. My heart stopped.I freeze at the very same spot for a moment. I cant seem to move nor run anyway like a maniac. Both my legs are as soft as a marshmallow till i got to seat down at the pavement as i closed my eyes.praying that "it was just a dream!! its a dream!!"
"BANG"
One of the meteor hit the NTUC INCOME Building just behind me! The upper part of the building started to fall down to ME.I was damned shocked that i quickly stand up and ran my heart out away. I decided to ran home and not wait for the bloody taxi. I started to think, those taxi uncles are all running for their life. The incident i saw at the interchange. They all know what is coming. I started to regret. I should have alighted the Ship. But i started to think again, my family?? friend?? I cant leave them.But i asked myself again, Are they still at home?? Or they already ran away from home to the Safe Zone. Far away. A 22 hrs ride by Ship with super turbo. But with just both human legs and with a speed of 3km/hr, i think i would take me a few months to reach there. I gave up. I just closed my eyes and ran with my vision in front of me unclear.
As i ran deep in, my eyes started to feel a sudden pain. I close my eyes a little. My skin started to feel hot as i perspired madly. And hotter and hotter as if I'm inside an oven! I stopped. "Wait this is wrong. I'm running to nowhere with ZERO vision in front of me.This is not the way to reach to my destination.Home"
I walked a little further in front, finding a vision.and finally reached a point where i can see something. But it wasn't a good sight. I was standing in front of the field which was hit my a comet. Fire started to conquer the field. But there was something there. It wasn't a comet. As i move around the field to get a better view,i finally saw it. There was windows and it was white, with flaps and wings in a bad position. "The Spacecraft!!".
I heard screams from all directions.
As i looked up, the shower of comets are here. i saw one passed by Darul Ghufran and hit the Sports Complex.Then so the rest as it landed on earth.Screams and loud bangs started to fill the air.
I sat down.
Gave up.
Close my eyes and ears and
started to say prayers.
"Mengucap DUA KALIMAH SYAHADAH as many as i can."
I remember tears started to fill my eyes.
I started to worry.
Am i ready to meet the Almighty?
I didn't have a chance to be a dad.
As i sat down, a page of newspaper flew to my face.
I open my eyes for a while and put it away.
My head turn backed and i picked up the page.
A headline at the front of it, in bold black covering the whole page.
"THE END HAS COME.ARMAGEDDON!!"
